resolved Page deleted as "created by ban evader" Live Action TV
The page The Office USS 7 E 21 Michaels Last Dundies was deleted for the reason as stated in the title, but it's otherwise a perfectly valid page to have, and it is presently the only episode of The Office (US) not recapped (webisodes aside).
Is it OK to recreate?
resolved Non-Trope Trivia section on Trivia page Live Action TV
I noticed that the trivia page for Deadliest Warrior has a section for non-trope trivia, which is not a section I've seen on any other trivia page. Should this be cut?
openWhen It Doesn't Make Sense That Someone Claims Not To Know Something Live Action TV
Someone says that something revealed before him is completely unknown to him and a complete surprise, and he isn't lying, despite the fact that he was around when that something occurred and it would be impossible for him to be ignorant about it.
openAI-Generated Fic in the recs area - can I zap? Live Action TV
There is an AI-generated fanfiction listed in the Doctor Who section whose entire recommendation appears to be "This was AI-Generated and it's cool". I wouldn't be surprised if the author themselves put it. Again, the merits of the story are never actually discussed. The entire thing reeks of Dancing Bear. The comments section reads as follows:
"Comments: Of course, some people have a grudge against AI for taking most of their jobs (writing, drawing, reading, etc.), but this AI-experiment with Chat GPT to create a Doctor Who fanfic is quite interesting. Love it or hate it, this is something I think is worth checking out if you're curious about the capabilities of artificial intelligence in fanfiction."
Can I remove this "recommendation"?

Taliyus was launched a few years ago and is marked as 'Series', when in actuality it is a collection of art and writing by a Deviantart user, which I think should warrant being a Web Original instead.
Edited by WinningPonyresolved Trope: Baby Played By A Blanket? Live Action TV
A baby (sometimes even a young toddler) is present in a scene but the script doesn't require them to do anything (except maybe cry, babble, or coo, but that can be added in post). Very commonly in those cases, and for good reasons, the baby is not played by an actual baby, but represented by a vaguely baby-shaped rolled-up blanket (often containing a doll). Because faces are hard, the baby is usually shown from behind or completely hidden by the blanket. Examples: most sitcomes, e.g. The Office, Big Band Theory. Also the second act of Into the Woods. Is there a trope page about this? I tried Google and couldn't find anything.
Edited by katharinaopenWeird disambiguation Live Action TV
Is there any particular reason why Tidelands (Netflix) has such a bizarre disambiguation?
First of all, work disambiguation is usually done by year, sometimes by country... but not this.
Second of all, Tidelands might be a disambig, but the only other work with this title is one book in a series, and both are currently red links. So I don't see anything preventing the series to just be Tidelands (currently a redirect).
openIs my work lost? Live Action TV
Yesterday, I tried to start a Franchise Actors page for Cannon. I'm the kind of guy that likes to tell everything he knows, which usually means that when I start a page, I go past the allotted time for editing, which is what I did here, and when I decided to knock off and save the page, a box popped up saying that another troper was checking out the page and that I couldn't save it. Fine, so I kept the page open overnight, checked it again in the morning before I shut down the computer, got the same message. Came home tonight, started up the computer, and I can't find all the stuff I typed. Is it permanently gone, or is it still lurking somewhere?
openQuick question on the WhatHappenedToTheMouse entry on the PRTF character page Live Action TV
Back in June 2023, I removed the What Happened to the Mouse? entry from Gluto's section in the Characters.Power Rangers Time Force page (history is here). V-Nerd re-added it nearly a month ago here.
In many stories, some characters enter the story, serve their role, and move on without any fanfare. If they have served their purpose and exit the story, then it's not a What Happened to the Mouse? situation just because there isn't some final "where are they now" information given. The trope is for cases where a character simply disappears without reason or acknowledgment by the rest of the cast. Plus, it's also a plot point. In this instance, Gluto slipping away during the final battle between Frax and the Rangers by freezing himself is a reasonable explanation for him leaving the story.
Rather than get involved in an Edit War, I'm bringing this up here. That said, any thoughts on what should be done?
Edited by gjjonesopenWhy were sports show pages cut? Live Action TV
The reason given for the page for Inside The NBA was that the "Page is about an NBA-related talk show that has no fictional content." Sportscenter's page was also given a similar reason. These are just the first two I noticed, I don't know if more shows were cut, or where such decisions were made. This doesn't make sense as:
When was it a rule that there had to be fictional content on a show? This site has an entire index on Non-Fiction Series, including one for "variety talk shows", which these series are, with guests, recurring segments, interviews, etc. These series even predate many of those. Let alone the fact that they're also multi-time Sports Emmy winning news series, and in the case of Inside The NBA, a comedy show. And they contribute page images, videos, etc. to other parts of the site.
Sports Talk Shows are their own section on the Talk Show page. Is it now a bad thing to be sports related? Are we just not allowed to have sports series pages? What about the sports video games, or athlete pages, etc?
Why even have such a limitation on content? This opens up a slippery slope. Will cooking shows be cut next? Nature documentaries and hosts? Instrumental musicians and albums?

Today, I put Series.Knuckles on the cut list when I meant to put the draft page Sandbox.Knuckles. Is there a way to make sure the mods know I made a mistake?
openCapote vs. the Swans Live Action TV
How are we planning to document the tropes for Feud: Capote vs. the Swans? Are we doing it like the American Horror Story minis, where the page would be titled Feud: Capote vs. the Swans, or would we do it like American Crime Story, where the page would be Capote Vs The Swans? Or are we just going to put the new tropes on the current Feud page?
openCondemned By History entry Live Action TV
A few hours ago Tropiarz added this Condemned by History entry to the YMMV page for Lost:
- As innovative as it was when it came out, Lost is also the face of everything wrong with the mid-to-late 00s TV series - the infamous "mystery box" model of unsustainable, Writing by the Seat of Your Pants shows that just kept piling more and more nonsensical puzzles for the audience to follow without any actual goal in mind other than "keep ratings high". Not only is the series guilty of all the issues this style of writing and show-running entails, but it spawned dozens of sub-par copycats that absolutely flooded the market, coming up with more and more ridiculous starting points for their big "mysteries" that never meant anything at all, either burning out without any conclusion or starting to suffer from extreme cases of The Chris Carter Effect - with Lost falling victim to that already by the end of season 3 out of 6. It is also guilty of introducing and popularising such hated things as: the marketing gimmick of "half-seasons" done for the sake of artificially extending the life of a single season, relying on Character Death for shock value, absolutely massive casts that end up working against the show due to lack of focus and even souring flashbacks for generations to come, as they became a by-word for "padding" in the same way as Engaging Chevrons. It's hard to comprehend how many despised practices hail back to this show as either origin or at least propagator and populariser.
I'm not sure this counts because it doesn't make an argument that the show is now viewed negatively, it's just listing a number of things people disliked about it and is also complaining about other shows doing those things.
Edited by Javertshark13resolved Spoiler Tags and Warnings in a Recap’s YMMV/Trivia Live Action TV
Doing a larger cleanup of plagiarism on Doctor Who recap pages (you’ve probably seen me before if you’re a mod), and I’m wondering about a question about spoilers. Obviously there are no spoiler tags in recap pages, but what about said spoilers in a recap’s YMMV and Trivia pages?
For example, this is a trivia example from the episode “The Big Bang”:
- Word of God: The title of the episode isn't really about resetting the universe... it's about Amy's and Rory's wedding night and, as we find out next season, the resulting conception of River Song.
Similarly, there are spoiler warnings added by The Wild West Pyro (some of which were immediately removed). So I have to ask, are spoiler tags off for a recap’s YMMV and Trivia pages? Should they be re-worded to simply avoid spoilers?
Edited by CanuckMcDuck1openClassic Series of Doctor Who = Kishoutenketsu? Live Action TV
I looked at the page for Kishoutenketsu the other day and I want to know if any four-part episodes of the Classic Series of Doctor Who fall into this category. Kishoutenketsu involves introduction (ki), development (shou), a twist (ten), and resolution (ketsu). I feel like at least An Unearthly Child falls into this. Can anyone else tell me if any other episodes from the show (classic or modern) meet the criteria for Kishoutenketsu?
resolved A goof in the Mr. Robot page Live Action TV
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/MrRobot
There is a goof in the Disposingof A Body section:
Someone wrote that Mr. Robot and Elliot found Tyrell's dead body after he was shot and burned it with the white Dark Army van. That never happened. Tyrell walked away after he was shot and the last we see of him was looking at the blue light. The body that they burnt with the van was of the dead DA soldier who killed himself. We don't know till this day what happened to Tyrell.
I need clarification on this trope. Can it be used within a single season of a TV series, where the element people complain about in the final few episodes was always present right from the pilot? Or does it require multiple seasons to truly qualify, due to the "franchise" part of trope name?
